Andrés Emiliano Maloberti is an Italian–Colombian visual artist currently based in Italy.
With a background in film studies, his practice moves fluidly between cinematography, still photography, and video art. His work and effort seek common ground between documentary, visual poetry, and cultural exploration.
Rooted in lived experience rather than observation alone, his approach is guided by slowness, proximity, and a deep engagement with his subjects. He works through long processes, allowing time, memory, and relationships to shape the image, often returning to the same landscapes and people as a way of listening rather than describing.
His current long-term project, still ongoing, is centered on his native land, the Trebbia Valley—a territory approached not as subject but as origin, a space where personal history and collective memory continuously overlap.
